Two books are currently available - The Chicken Soup Game and The Snow Bowl. Both are level-4 readers (kids from 8-11 years old), but suitable for Irish fans of all ages.


The Chicken Soup Game

The Chicken Soup Game tells the story of the Fighting Irish's amazing 22-point comeback against the Houston Cougars in the 1979 Cotton Bowl. Played in freezing temperatures and icy conditions, the Irish win is considered one of the greatest in college football history.  The game features Irish Coach Dan Devine, legendary quarterback Joe Montana, Jerome Heavens, Bob Crable, Joe Restic, and game-winning kicker Joe Unis.  The book also includes a forward by Joe Unis on the virtue of never giving up.

Written by Paul Kostolansky and iIllustrated by Greg Broyles; 32 pages.

The Snow Bowl

The Snow Bowl recounts the Fighting Irish's dramatic come-from-behind victory against the Penn State Nittany Lions in the November snow of 1992. The book features Coach Lou Holtz and a host of great Irish players including Rick Mirer, Jerome Bettis, Reggie Brooks, Irv Smith, Bryant Young, Jim Flannigan and Bobby Taylor. The book introduces young Irish fans to this classic game and, with a forward by quarterback Rick Mirer, to the value of teamwork.
